DMA mentors, mentees gain leadership insights from guest speaker - Oct. 21, 2021

Participants in the Virginia Department of Military Affairs Workforce Development Mentoring Program listen to guest speaker Debbie Arco during an event Oct. 21, 2021, at the Virginia National Guard Sergeant Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Arco, a career educator most recently with Hanover County Public Schools, spoke to the mentors and mentees about the correlation and importance of communication and leadership. Arco is also the daughter of retired Brig. Gen. Vernon Jones, a former Assistant Adjutant General of Virginia. The mentor program is in its second year, and matches up DMA state employees with DMA leadership to exchange knowledge, experience and career guidance.
