183rd RTI trainers teach Ohio Guard Airmen infantry skills - May 18, 2023

Instructors assigned to the Virginia National Guard’s Fort Barfoot-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute conduct training on rappelling operations for Airmen assigned to the Ohio National Guard’s 178th Security Forces Squadron May 18, 2023, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. Approximately 25 Airmen spent a week training at the 183rd RTI in order to prepare for an upcoming change to their mission set that will shift their current Security Forces Squadron to a Base Defense Squadron. Over the course of the training, the Airmen focused on basic infantry tactics and base defense operations.
