VNG aviation battalion conducts Safety Stand Down - Dec. 2, 2023

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Sandston-based 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, 29th Infantry Division conduct their annual Safety Stand Down Dec. 2, 2023, at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. During the event, Maj. Gen. James Ring, the Adjutant General of Virginia, and Col. Kyle Hogan, the commander of the Corpus Christi Army Depot, both spoke at the event, emphasizing safety and resilience. Additionally, several Soldiers were recognized for their achievements, including for safe flying hours and hitting career milestones. Safety awards were also presented in memory of former 2-224th Aviation Soldiers, including Staff Sgt. Mark Dameron, Staff Sgt. Darryl Booker and Col. Paul Kelly.
