Ring meets with 5th Canadian Division leaders at Fort Barfoot - March 8, 2024

Maj. Gen. James W. Ring, the Adjutant General of Virginia, meets with Brig. Gen. J.W. MacDonald, the 5th Canadian Division deputy commander, and Chief Warrant Officer William Crabb, the 5th Division deputy sergeant major, during a key leader engagement March 8, 2024, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. During the visit, Col. James C. Shaver Jr., the Fort Barfoot garrison commander, briefed the Canadians on the installation’s capabilities, and the leaders discussed future training opportunities and exchanged challenge coins. MacDonald also thanked the VNG leaders for their support as elements of the 5th Canadian Division conducted a training exercise at Fort Barfoot over the last month.
