Delegation from Finnish Parliament Defense Affairs Committee visits VNG - April 23, 2024

A delegation from the Finnish Parliament's Defense Committee meets with Virginia National Guard senior leaders April 23, 2024, at the VNG’s Sgt. Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Brig. Gen. Todd Hubbard, the VNG Director of the Joint Staff, hosted the visit led by Col. Juha Helle, Finland’s Defense Attaché, and Member of Parliament Jukka Kopra, chairman of the Finland’s parliamentary Defense Affairs Committee.

The delegation toured some of the historical displays at the VNG headquarters and also visited the Virginia War Memorial and Virginia Capitol. Virginia Senators Angelia Williams Graves and Bryce Reeves, Delegates Kannan Srinivasan and Betsy Carr and representatives from Congresswoman Jen Kiggans office also joined in the visit.
