Cyber Fortress 3.0 tests Virginia's cyber response plan - July 11, 2024

State officials and senior military leaders join Senior Executive Service leaders, state legislators, state and federal technology experts, and public sector communication executives for a distinguished visitor day at Cyber Fortress 3.0 July 11, 2024, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Leaders visiting the exercise included retired Maj. Gen. Craig Crenshaw, the Virginia Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs, Maj. Gen. John M. Epperly, Deputy Commanding General - Army National Guard, U.S. Army Futures Command, and Brig. Gen. Todd H. Hubbard, the Virginia National Guard Director of the Joint Staff, and a number of VNG senior leaders. Cyber Fortress 3.0 brings together state and federal organizations who will respond in a real-world cyber incident and provides an opportunity to test Virginia’s cyber response plan and better prepare for future collective responses. Representatives from the Finnish Defense Forces, Virginia’s newest partner as part of the National Guard Bureau’s State Partnership Program, and the Japanese military, also participated.
