2-224th AVN launches largest multi-aircraft mission in several years - Aug. 15, 2025

Virginia Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Sandston-based 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, 29th Infantry Division launch the battalion’s largest multiple aircraft mission in several years. Eight UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters departed the Richmond International Airport in Sandston, Virginia, Aug. 15, 2025, to mark the end of the unit’s annual training period.
