E-2-224th Aviation Connelly Competition - June 6, 2009

Soldiers from the Sandston-based E Company, 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Battalion competed in the 2009 Regional Philip A. Connelly Award for Excellence in Army Food Service in the National Guard Field Kitchen Category June 6 at Fort Pickett. The unit prepared a lunch meal and conducted a tactical feeding for Soldiers taking part in the 183rd Regional Training Institute's motor transport operator course. Brig. Gen. Stephen Huxtable, Assistant Adjutant General of Virginia – Army, visited the field kitchen site and handed out coins to recognize Soldiers for their outstanding duty performance.
