National Guard Soldiers and Airmen participate in pre-race ceremonies for the Federated Auto Parts 400 at the Richmond International Raceway Sept. 8, 2012. Approximately 65 servicemembers from units across the commonwealth helped unfurl a massive American flag during the singing of “God Bless America” and the playing of the national anthem by the 29th Army Band. The Soldiers and Airmen were also recognized by Dale Earnhardt Jr., National Guard NASCAR driver, for their dedicated service. (Photos by Tech. Sgt.
