Senator Kaine visit with Va. Guard Soldiers -- Feb. 21, 2013

Senator Tim Kaine visits with Soldiers of 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team at the Virginia Guard's Readiness Center in Staunton, Va., Feb. 21 as part of his three-day defense tour. Kaine, newly appointed to the Senate Armed Services Committee, discussed military readiness and the effects of a possible sequestration on the National Guard during his visit with the Soldiers. The senator kicked off his tour Feb. 19 with a tour of the Huntington Ingalls shipyard in Newport News and continued around the state visiting various sites including Naval Station Norfolk, and the Salem VA Hospital.
