AG, SEL observe 1-111th FA hip shoot – June 13, 2013

Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long, Jr., the Adjutant General of Virginia, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis A. Green, Virginia Guard senior enlisted leader, along with senior leaders from the 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, visit Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery, 116th IBCT June 13, 2013, at Fort Pickett, Va. during an artillery hip shoot. During a hip shoot, artillery Soldiers move rapidly to a firing position, set up their guns, and, within minutes, fire rounds down range.
