AG, SEL visit with Richmond-area recruiters - April 1, 2014

Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long, Jr, the Adjutant General of Virginia, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis A. Green, senior enlisted leader for the Virginia National Guard, visit recruiters Apr. 1, 2014, at the Army National Guard Recruiting Station in Midlothian, Va. During their visit, the two received an Area VI station brief on the status of recruiting and retention efforts at the storefront, as well as an overview of how the station operates. The Virginia Army National Guard has recently focused attention on raising retention numbers and are currently exceeding the retention goal set by the National Guard Bureau, with 103 percent of retention goals met, up 10 percent from where they were this time last year.
