329th RSG exercise prepares headquarters staff for large-scale civil support mission - May 20, 2014

Maj. Gen. Daniel E. Long Jr., the Adjutant General of Virginia, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis A. Green, the Virginia Guard Senior Enlisted Leader, visit the Virginia Beach-based 329th Regional Support Group during a command post exercise May 20, 2014, at Camp Pendleton, Va. During the three-day exercise, the Soldiers of the 329th headquarters staff honed their battle drills for conducting a National Guard Civil Support mission. The 329th simulated overseeing its own subordinate units while also setting up a Joint Reception, Staging, Onward Movement and Integration, or JRSOI, site to receive up to 5,0000 National Guard Airmen and Soldiers from outside Virginia sent to provide disaster assistance.
