116th IBCT Soldiers conduct night fire training exercise - Aug. 2, 2014

Virginia Army National Guard infantrymen, mortarmen and scouts from the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team conduct a live night-fire exercise August 2, 2014, at Fort Pickett, Va. The exercise took place in near-total darkness in the midst of multiple rain showers and required Soldiers to make use of their night vision equipment. The Soldiers designed and implemented the modified range in order to sharpen their marksmanship skills under little to no light.
