Va. Beach Local Emergency Planning Committee briefed on Va. Guard capabilities - Jan. 6, 2015

Lt. Col. Doug Gagnon, the Virginia National Guard deputy plans officer, gives a presentation about the capabilities of the Virginia National Guard and the Virginia Defense Force to members of the City of Virginia Beach Local Emergency Planning Committee Jan. 6, 2015, at the 203rd RED HORSE Squadron auditorium at Camp Pendleton, Va. The LEPC consists of representatives from Virginia Beach law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire services, local environmental agencies, health care, media, industry, and local officials. Other speakers at the meeting included representatives of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Virginia Beach Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team. This was the second time Camp Pendleton hosted the LEPC, which meets quarterly.
