Governor, SPSHS tour Wise County to assess damage, thank supporters - Feb. 25, 2015

Governor Terry McAuliffe and Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security Brian Moran tour Wise County, Va., Feb. 25, 2015, to assess damage to the area and thank the many organizations providing assistance in the wake of heavy snow that impacted the entire commonwealth. McAuliffe and Moran met with the board of directors for the Food Bank of Wise County, toured the food bank to see its collapsed roof then visited the Wise County Emergency Operations Center. At the EOC, they met with county emergency services personnel, members of the Wise County Sheriff's Office and the Virginia National Guard. County sheriff's deputies and Virginia Guard Soldiers have been working to delivery food, water and medicine to people in need throughout the county as well as evacuate people for safety and medical attention.
