429th BSB medics practice evacuation procedures - April 11, 2015
Soldiers from the Charlottesville-based Company C, 429th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team practice medical evacuation procedures April 11, 2015, at Fort Pickett, Va. In the training scenario, medics arrived at location with simulated casualties with information cards that described their injuries, then the medics would determine priority of treatment and the steps necessary to stabilize their patients and load them for transport to receive additional medical assistance. The training is part of final preparation for the brigade-wide Multi-echelon Integrated Brigade Training exercise scheduled for June at Fort Drum, New York. The exercise will focus on developing leaders at the company level and below in preparation for possible future deployments and will train and evaluate company execution of offensive, defensive and security operations as well as train and evaluate staffs in their execution of mission command.
