TF Pirate bids farewell to 189th MRBC - June 19, 2015

Virginia National Guard Soldiers from various units assigned to the Petersburg-based 276th Engineer Battalion, 91st Troop Command bid farewell to the Bowling Green-based 189th Multi-Role Bridge Company during a pass and review parade June 19, 2015, at Fort Pickett, Va. The parade provided the battalion a ceremonial opportunity to recognize and congratulation the 189th MRBC before their transition later this fall. The 189th MRBC will become part of the newly designed Brigade Engineer Battalion assigned to the 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. The new BEB brings increased engineer command structure and presence and support the 116th IBCT with two full companies of engineers, one to provide combat and stability operations and another to conduct horizontal construction and route clearance.
