RTI’s transportation-focused battalion welcomes new commander - June 27, 2015

Lt. Col. Travis L. Mabrey takes command of Virginia National Guard’s Fort Pickett-based 2nd Battalion, 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute from the outgoing commander, Lt. Col. Allysa Kropp June 27, 2015, at Fort Pickett, Va. Col. Thomas Morgan, commander of the 183rd RTI, commended both officers, saying he had learned from Kropp during the time she worked him and saying that Mabrey not only wanted the battalion command, but also deserved in. In her remarks, Kropp thanked her family for their support and invited two of senior noncommissioned officers from the battalion to be recognized for their support during her time in command. The 183rd RTI’s 2rd Battalion trains transporters.
