Congressman Scott Taylor visits Virginia Commonwealth ChalleNGe Youth Academy cadets Feb. 12, 2018, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. During his visit, Taylor spoke to the teens about the importance of mentorship and his own life experiences and then participated in physical fitness training with the cadets. ChalleNGe is 17-and-a-half-month program that is structured in a military-style environment designed to promote academics, attention to detail, time management, and leadership, while promoting self-esteem, confidence and pride.
