1173rd Soldiers return from N.C. hurricane recovery operations - Sept. 24, 2018

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Virginia Beach-based 1173rd Transportation Company, 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group return to Virginia Sept. 24, 2018, after supporting hurricane recovery operations in North Carolina. Approximately 40 Soldiers and 20 medium tactical vehicles arrived Sept. 15, and they used their 5-ton tactical trucks to transport supplies for shelter operations and first responders conducting health and welfare checked in flooded neighborhoods, and they also assisted with transporting pets to safety at an animal shelter.
