Gallagher promoted to brigadier general

Col. K. Weedon Gallagher is promoted to brigadier general Dec. 1, 2018, in Richmond, Virginia, and he will serve as the Virginia National Guard’s Assistant Adjutant General for Army Strategic Initiatives. Virginia Military Institute cadets provided the color guard for the ceremony. Gallagher is a 1991 graduate of VMI, and he was joined by several other VMI alumni for the event.
