Virginia National Guard R&R Battalion welcomes Astphan as new commander - Dec. 7, 2018

Lt. Col. Alyssa Astphan takes command of the Virginia National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion from Lt. Col. Jennifer Martin in a change of command ceremony held Dec. 7, 2018, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Brig. Gen. Lapthe Flora, Virginia National Guard Assistant Adjutant General - Army, presided over the exchange of the guidon that represented the transfer of command from Martin to Astphan.
