JFHQ-VA welcomes new commander & first sergeant

Capt. Melissa Canada takes command of Joint Force Headquarters - Virginia from Maj. Kyle Duffer in a change of command ceremony held Nov. 4, 2018, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Col. James Zollar, chief of staff for the Virginia Army National Guard, presided over the exchange of the guidon that represented the transfer of command from Duffer to Canada. The ceremony also recognized the change of responsibility between 1st Sgt. Laronda Williams and 1st Sgt. Shawn Oliver.
