Capt. Mark L Gunn takes command of the Richmond-based Joint Force Headquarters-Virginia Headquarters Detachment from Maj. Melissa A. Canada Sept. 13, 2020, at the Virginia National Guard Sgt. Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Brig. Gen. K. Weedon Gallagher, the VNG Land Component Commander, presided over the change of command ceremony and the exchange of unit guidon signifying the transfer of command from Canada to Gunn.
