Lindsey takes command of Cavalry Squadron - Dec. 5, 2020

Lt. Col. Cory B. Lindsey assumes command of the Virginia National Guard’s Portsmouth-based 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Lt. Col. Brian M. Gallavan Dec. 5, 2020, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Col. Christopher J. Samulski commander of the 116th IBCT, presided over the exchange of organizational colors representing the transfer of command from Gallavan to Lindsey. Samulski presented Gallavan with the Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of his outstanding duty performance as the squadron commander.
