Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C., Virginia Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs Carlos Hopkins, and the Adjutant General of Virginia, U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, visit Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Jan. 12, 2021, in Washington, D.C. National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from several states have traveled to Washington to provide support to federal and district authorities leading up to the 59th Presidential Inauguration.
