First DMA mentorship program participants graduate during ceremony - Feb. 25, 2021

Participants in the Virginia Department of Military Affairs’ first-ever mentorship program graduate during a ceremony Feb. 25, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The mentors and mentees began their partnership early in 2020 and successfully completed a year of mentoring despite challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, and retired Brig. Gen. Walt Mercer, the DMA Chief Operations Officer, both spoke at the event before mentors and mentees received their graduation certificates.
