11B students test marksmanship skills - July 17, 2021

Students enrolled in the 11B Infantry Transition Course qualify on the M4A1 carbine rifle July 17, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. The course, taught by cadre assigned to the 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute, included Soldiers from multiple state and backgrounds, including 19D Calvary Scouts and 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanics. The Soldiers qualified in accordance with the U.S. Army’s new qualification standard that includes the integration of barriers, unprompted reloading and firing position transitions. The qualification consists of six tables with preliminary marksmanship instruction and evaluation, pre-live fire simulation training, magazine and shooting position drills, grouping and zeroing, practice qualification and qualification.
