529th Soldiers conduct active shooter training - July 19, 2021

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Manassas-based 229th Military Police Company, 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group, conduct active shooter training July 19, 2021, during their two weeks of annual training at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Using special simulation ammunition to create a more realistic scenario, the training helped prepare Soldiers how to respond effectively and efficiently in an active shooter situation, including an emphasis on when and when not to engage with their weapons. Soldiers assigned to the Virginia Beach-based 1173rd Transportation Company also conducted familiarization training along with the 229th.
