Bailey takes command of Thunder Battalion during ceremony - Aug. 7, 2021

Lt. Col. Donald L. Bailey takes command of the Norfolk-based 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Lt. Col. Charles E. Reinhold during a ceremony Aug. 7, 2021, at Fort Pickett, Virginia. Col. Chris Samulski, commander of the 116th IBCT, presided over the exchange of organizational colors representing the change of command from Reinhold to Bailey. The change of command ceremony took place during the battalion’s annual training being held July 31 through Aug. 15, 2021, at Fort Pickett.
