Spanberger, Congressional staff members visit 116th IBCT annual training - Aug. 11, 2021

U.S. Rep. Abigail Spanberger and staff members from the offices of Sen. Mark Warner, Sen. Tim Kaine and Rep. Donald McEachin visit with Soldiers assigned to the Virginia National Guard’s Staunton-based 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Aug. 11, 2021, as they conduct two weeks of annual training at Fort Pickett, Virginia. During the visit they received a briefing on the upcoming federal active duty mobilization for Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th IBCT to the Horn of Africa and observed Fredericksburg-based 229th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 116th IBCT conduct a live-fire range.
