Zollar retires after more than 35 years of service - Sept. 25, 2021

Brig. Gen. James A. Zollar celebrates more than 35 years of service in front of family, friends, colleagues and Virginia National Guard leaders Sept. 25, 2021, at his retirement ceremony, held at the Virginia National Guard Sergeant Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Zollar most recently served as the Virginia National Guard’s Assistant Adjutant General for Army Strategic Initiatives. Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, presided over the ceremony and presented Zollar with several awards, including a Distinguished Service Medal, in recognition of his many years of service.
