VNG aviation tasks force departs for KFOR mission - Jan. 5, 2021

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Sandston-based 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, 29th Infantry Division depart for their federal mobilization Jan. 5, 2022, from the Army Aviation Support Facility in Sandston, Virginia. The Soldiers are deploying as Task Force Pegasus and will head first to Fort Hood, Texas, for several weeks of training, before heading to Kosovo where they will serve as the aviation task force for NATO-led Kosovo Force Regional Command-East.
