Fort Pickett Soldiers participate in Family and Farm Day - Sept. 10, 2022

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to Maneuver Training Center Fort Pickett educate the community on Fort Pickett operations as well as correct response to the discovery of unexploded ordnance at the Family and Farm Day Sept. 10, 2022, at the Virginia Tech Southern Piedmont Agricultural Research and Extension Center near Blackstone, Virginia. The objective of Family and Farm Day is to educate the non-agricultural community about the benefits and importance of agriculture. The Soldiers explained how Recognize, Retreat and Report, known as the 3Rs of Explosives Safety, helps prevent accidents related to unexploded ordnance.
