VDF supports Fort Barfoot Redesignation Ceremony - March 24, 2023

Members of the Virginia Defense Force volunteer their time to provide access control and parking management assistance during the Virginia National Guard’s Fort Barfoot Redesignation Ceremony March 24, 2023, at the Blackstone Army Airfield near Blackstone, Virginia. Fort Pickett wass officially redesignated Fort Barfoot in honor of Col. Van T. Barfoot, a World War II Medal of Honor recipient with extensive Virginia ties.
