Virginia National Guard Soldiers conduct training on basic combat casualty care with University of Virginia Army Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets April 11, 2023, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Military paramedics assigned to the Sandston-based Detachment 2, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 169th Aviation Regiment and the Virginia Army National Guard Medical Command conducted hands-on training with the cadets including the use of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Exportable, or TC3X, system. The TC3X system is a computer-controlled mannequin that can move, bleed, breath and simulate a multitude of combat wounds, giving the user a realistic wound care experience. The training is part of an ongoing partnership between the VNG and Army ROTC programs. Read more about VNG aviation at ngpa.us/24887.
