Thunder battalion welcomes new command team - April 15, 2023

Lt. Col. Jason K. Remington and Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph R. Viera take charge as the new command team for the Norfolk-based 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Lt. Col. David P. Coyle and Command Sgt. Maj. Rhonda L. Williams April 15, 2023, in Norfolk, Virginia. Col. Jared D. Lake, commander of the 116th IBCT, presided over the ceremony where Remington took command of the 1-111th from Coyle and Viera assumed responsibility from Williams as the battalion’s senior enlisted leader.
