Williams honored after change of command ceremony - June 3, 2023

The Virginia National Guard’s Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams receives commemorative gifts in honor of his retirement after nearly 40 years of service during a ceremony June 3, 2023, at the VNG Sergeant Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Earlier in the ceremony Maj. Gen. James W. Ring assumed command as the Adjutant General of Virginia from Williams, who had served in the role since 2014. Williams will formally retire from Guard service July 1, 2023. During the ceremony, Williams thanks his family, friends, colleagues and the Army and Air National Guard forces he commanded for the last nine years.
