DiNonno, Gallagher, Reed visit EIB, ESB prep training at Fort Barfoot - June 10, 2023
Brig. Gen. K. Weedon Gallagher, the Virginia National Guard Land Component Commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. Irving Reed Jr., the Virginia Army National Guard command sergeant major, visit Expert Infantryman and Expert Soldier Badge training June 10, 2023, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. Brig. Gen. Joseph DiNonno, the 29th Infantry Division Deputy Commanding General - Operations, was also on hand to observe the training. The training, hosted by the Staunton-based 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, included approximately 120 Soldiers from the Virginia and Kentucky Army National Guard; the Fort Meyer-based 3rd Infantry Regiment, known as the Old Guard; the Fort Liberty, North Carolina-based 112th Signal Battalion; and Finland. The Soldiers will spend four days training on and practicing 30 individual tasks before testing officially begins.
