CST conducts collective training lanes in Richmond - Aug. 24, 2023

Virginia National Guard Soldiers and Airman assigned to the Fort Barfoot-based 34th Civil Support Team conduct collective training lanes Aug. 24, 2023, at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, in preparation for their Training Proficiency Evaluation. During the exercise, the unit performed reconnaissance surveys and collected samples from a simulated illegal lab operation to be tested for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or explosive threats. The 34th CST supports first responders during potential hazardous materials incidents involving possible CBRNE threats and can identify unknown substances, assess current and projected consequences, advise an incident commander on response measures and assist with requests for additional state support.
