Detwiler takes command of 429th Brigade Support Battalion - Sept. 9, 2023

Lt. Col. Jason P. Detwiler takes command of the Virginia National Guard’s Danville-based 429th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Lt. Col. Andrew J. Tipton during a change of command ceremony Sept. 9, 2023, at the Virginia National Guard Sergeant Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Col. Jared D. Lake, commander of the 116th IBCT, presided over the change of command ceremony and the exchange of organizational colors signifying the transfer of command from Tipton to Detwiler. The Troutville-based 29th Infantry Division Band provided music for the ceremony.
