VNG rappel masters train ROTC, JROTC cadets on rappelling at ODU - Nov. 9, 2023

Virginia National Guard rappel masters assist with rappelling operations for ROTC cadets from Old Dominion University and JROTC cadets from Smithfield High School Nov. 9, 2023, at S.B. Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia. The event provided the cadets an opportunity to conquer their fears and boost their confidence, while learning more about the Virginia Army National Guard. The rappel masters are assigned to the Fort Barfoot-based 183rd Regiment, Regional Training Institute, and the Staunton-based 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.
