Delta Company Soldiers conduct FTX - April 20, 2024

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Manassas-based Intelligence Collection Platoon, Delta Company, 229th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team conduct a field training exercise April 20, 2024, at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. Soldiers with signal intelligence, human intelligence and electronic warfare military specialties isolated signals, conducted direction finding and identified networks and locations of role players who were then screened and debriefed for potential scenario intelligence significance. They also conducted training on the Tactical Dismounted Electronic Warfare and Signals Intelligence system, a dedicated, all-weather, tactical electronic warfare system providing force protection and situational awareness to commanders at any echelon. Soldiers were authorized civilian clothes and relaxed grooming standards to simulate potential environments they could be employed in a multi-domain operations situation.
