Thunder Battalion live fires artillery during annual training - June 22, 2024

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Norfolk-based 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team live fire M119A3 towed howitzers June 22, 2024, at Fort Barfoot, Virginia. The battalion shot 439 total rounds, with Alpha and Bravo Batteries firing 310 105mm rounds and Charlie Battery firing 129 155mm rounds with M777A2 howitzer. Read more about 1-111th at ngpa.us/28963.
