Mechanicsville HS JROTC cadets tour VNG’s aviation facility - Oct. 30, 2024

Junior ROTC cadets from Mechanicsville High School toured the Virginia National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility Oct. 30, 2024, near the Richmond International Airport in Sandston, Virginia. The event, organized by recruiters from the Virginia Army National Guard’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion, included naval JROTC cadets, all juniors and seniors, who received an overview of the U.S. Army and the capabilities of the Virginia National Guard’s Army aviation assets before touring the maintenance facility and getting some hands-on experience with a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.
