Maj. Mark Ford is promoted to lieutenant colonel Nov. 1, 2024, at the Virginia National Guard’s Sergeant Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Col. Kurt Kobernik, Virginia Army National Guard chief of staff, hosted the ceremony and administered the oath of office for Ford’s new rank.
