Card Text (transcribed from postcard): This modern imitation of a 'Mediaeval keep' was erected about the year 1853 by Wm. A. Pratt, an eccentric character of the olden time. At the close of the war it was purchased and occupied, for a short time, by Gen. W. L. James of the Federal Army. It is said to contain secret passages, and to have the distinction of being haunted.
