These licence terms are a legally binding agreement between you and
Greenheart Games Pty. Ltd., governing your use of the video game Game
Dev Tycoon (the oftware!. These terms, as u"dated from time to time in
accordance with this #$L%, a""ly to any demo & trial version, u"dates, DL',
enhancements, su""ort and internet based services associated with the
oftware.
(y using, installing, downloading or ma)ing any co"y of the software, you
acce"t these terms. *ou also consent to "rovide us with certain information
as set out in these terms. +f you do not acce"t these terms, you must not use
the software, and must remove and delete or destroy any co"y of the
software in your "ossession.
Ownership of the Software
Greenheart Games Pty. Ltd. retains ownershi" of the oftware, and reserves
all rights in the oftware. ,o "ro"rietary rights are assigned or transferred
under this #$L%. *ou may not co"y, re"roduce, modify, alter, ada"t, translate,
decom"ile or reverse engineer the software e-ce"t as "ermitted by law or
this #$L%. This #$L% does not give you any right to sub.license the oftware.
What this eans! /e are giving you a licence to use the software,
but we still own it. *ou can only use the software as "ermitted under
this #$L%.
Grant of Licence " Demo #ersion
The D#01 version is a free evaluation version of the software. +t does not
include the entire game content found in the full version.
/e grant you a royalty.free, non.e-clusive licence to use, co"y, install and
en2oy the D#01 version for your "ersonal non.commercial use.
*ou may distribute the D#01 version of the software only under the terms of
this licence. *ou may only distribute the most recent D#01 version, as
"ublished on our website at www.greenheartgames.com from time to time, in
its entirety (including a co"y of this #$L%!. *ou may not distribute the D#01
version for any commercial "ur"ose.
What this eans! The D#01 version is free. +nstall it, share it with
your friends, but if you do, you must give them the most current
version (available from our website!.
There is no restriction on the number of co"ies you can install, but you
cant sell it, rent it, or use it for commercial "ur"oses (such as an
internet caf3, arcade, or "ublic library!.
Grant of Licence " $%&& #ersion
$"on "ayment of the a""licable licence fees, we grant you a non.e-clusive
licence to use, co"y, install and en2oy the oftware for your "ersonal non.
commercial use, sub2ect to the terms of this #$L%. *ou may install the
software on u" to three devices, but you may only o"erate one instance of
the software at any time.
4or the "ur"oses of this #$L%, a device means a single hardware system,
whether virtualised or "hysical. e"arate "artitions are each considered
distinct devices.
What this eans! $"on "ayment of the licence fee, you can install
the full version on u" to 5 devices (e.g. your P', tablet and la"to"!, but
only run one co"y at a time.
*ou cant sell it, rent it, or use it for commercial "ur"oses (such as an
internet caf3, arcade, or "ublic library! 6 for these uses "lease contact
us to discuss a commercial licence.
'estrictions on Use
$nless otherwise "ermitted by law or this #$L%, you must not7
(1) wor) around any technical limitations in the software8
(2) reverse engineer, decom"ile or disassemble the software, or disclose
the algorithmic nature or describe any "art for the source code or inner
wor)ings of the oftware8
(3) "ublish the software for others to co"y8
(4) use the software in any illegal or immoral way, or for any such
"ur"ose8
(5) use, co"y, rent, lease or lend the software8 or
(6) create any derivate wor) or "rogram to mimic the data or functionality
of the oftware.

The oftware incor"orates some third "arty com"onents, which are sub2ect to

localised or translated versions of the oftware from time to time, including
crowd.sourced translations. %ll such versions are "rovided as.is. /e do not
"rovide any warranty that the localised or translated versions re=ect the
original version, are correct, >t for "ur"ose, or otherwise guarantee these
versions in any way.
What this eans! /e wrote the game in #nglish, but may "rovide
crowd.sourced translations. /e are not res"onsible for any errors in
translation.
ods
/e are not res"onsible for any third "arty derivate wor)s, enhancements,
modi>cations or ada"tations that incor"orate, interact or integrate with the
oftware (mods!. 0ods may change the game e-"erience, and we do not
warrant that they re=ect the original version, are correct, error free, or >t for
"ur"ose. /e are not res"onsible for su""orting any mods, or oftware using
mods. +f you choose to use any third "arty mods, you do so at your own ris).

0odding the oftware is only allowed if you agree to the se"arate 0odding

What this eans! (efore you can mod the game or distribute a mod
you have to agree to the 0odding %greement.

*ou may create one bac)u" co"y of the oftware, in its entirety (including a
co"y of this #$L%!, for your own "ersonal data recovery "ur"oses, or
otherwise as "ermitted by law. *ou may use this co"y only to reinstall the
oftware, sub2ect to the terms of this #$L%.
Software Updates and DL)
/e may release u"dates, "atches, DL', or new versions of the oftware from
time to time. *ou have no automatic right to any u"dates or DL', but where
we choose to "rovide these to you, they shall be considered "art of the

by notice to you. $"on such notice, you must immediately remove the fan
content from distribution.

The oftware is a wor) of >ction that draws ins"iration from the history of
game develo"ment. /e have created some in.game assets, consoles and
com"anies to "arody historical events, develo"ers, hardware and systems.
/e are not associated with any of these real com"anies, develo"ers or
console ma)ers, and have ta)en care not to use any real world names or
trade mar)s of these entities. %ny similarity between in.game characters,
com"anies, "roducts, and events is coincidental or a conse9uence of "arody.
-ndemnity and Limitation of Lia.i&ity
/e only acce"t liability to you as set out in this clause, or as re9uired by
consumer or other laws that cannot be e-cluded by contract. %ll other im"lied
conditions or warranties are e-cluded. To the fullest e-tent allowable at law,
any condition or warranty which would otherwise be im"lied in this #$L% is
e-cluded. /e ma)e no warranty as to >tness for any "ur"ose, "erformance or
com"atibility.

under consumer law, but we dont give any enhanced warranty or
