‘How to download Scribd documents for free?’ is a question frequently


asked by readers. You probably have tried to download a Scribd file, but
after you press the download button, it hops to another page and asks you
to ‘Get Unlimited Downloads with a Free Scribd Trial’. I believe that’s not
what the readers want. In the following, we introduce two simple ways to
free download from Scribd without having to start the free trial.

Scribd offers some free documents that users can download directly for
free.

For some documents, the uploader has disabled the download options.
If you try to download, it will prompt ‘This document is not available
for download’. On the detail page, there is NO download button at all.

Step 3. Upload a Document to Scribd

Step 4. Free Download Any Files on Scribd

Now you can click on a wanted document and press the “Download Now”
button. If you have already opened the page, you must refresh the page
before pressing the button.

This is an easy to use Scribd downloader. Copy the link of the Scribd
document, paste the link in DocDownloader and click on GET LINK. After
redirecting and waiting for more than ten seconds, you can download the
file to your computer.

2. ScrDownloader.com

ScrDownloader is similar to the one above. Unfortunately, after I successfully


downloaded a Scribd document, this site prompts ‘Sorry, our service are
offline right now. Please try again later.’ It can be a supplementary option.

Sorry but the answer might be no :(. Like my case – I've


tried https://github.com/gregcw11..., git clone project from
GitHub, and have installed the Chrome extension, but it
doesn't work for me. I have also tried
https://docsdownloader.com/..., it also doesn't work.

Thanks for your article. Has this worked for you with documents
with "book" type (in the URL) instead of a "document" type? I
can't make any of these work when it's a book. Thanks :)

I couldn't find any PC tool or online downloader to get its
eBooks for free, what I only found is this guy posted on
Quora in 2019 said that he could get normal PDF from
Scribd eBook on Android (by changing its file extension).
You could try his way if you have an Android. If it works, it
works.
